Chimes of a Lost Cathedral--Book Tour

I"m thrilled to announce that my new novel, Chimes of a Lost Cathedral, the second and final volume  of The Revolution of Marina M., will be hitting the bookstores on July 2!

The Revolution of Marina M. saw the coming of age of Marina Makarova during the first years of the Russian Revolution. Chimes of a Lost Cathedral continues her journey, taking her deep into the heart of the  countryside during the Russian Civil War, and follows her return to devastated Petrograd, where she emerges as a poet and a woman in full--and the Revolution reveals its true direction for the future.

If you want to give this book an important leg up, preorder! Just as with movies, it makes a huge difference to open big. But unlike the movies you don’t have to line up outside in the hot sun, hire line sitters while you look for a bathroom, or sit behind people talking all the way through the action. You can enjoy opening day in comfort, with an iced tea and the book already in your hands.

Preorder from any of the above bookstores or

Barnes & Noble

Publication day will find me in the mountains of Southern California at the Idyllwild Arts' Writers’ Week. This is where I gave a Spring Writing Retreat in April-- let me know if you’d like to be notified of future retreats
July 8-15, I’ll be teaching at Squaw Valley Community of Writers, in the High Sierras, where I have been a staff member since 2001, teaching workshops, giving one-on-one manuscript conferences, and generally going to writers-camp.  Squaw holds a very special place in my timeline, much magic, and I look forward to returning to see what kind of magic it holds for this year’s participants.
In preparation for the release of Chimes of a Lost Cathedral I've been updating the website, adding a section just for book clubs.  To celebrate the publication, I’m offering Skype sessions with book clubs who have chosen Chimes of a Lost Cathedral or The Revolution of Marina M. for their reading selection. If that sounds like something your group would enjoy, contact me!
Here’s wishing you a terrific summer and good reading,

Janet FitchComment
